The Book of Na'Lon

or rather, Inane Ramblings of an Expatriot

Previous Entry Share Next Entry
While I was writing a lecture this pm, the Marquis harvested 16kg of grapes from our grapevine in the garden, because last night brought the first frost this year. Unfortunately they are so sour they are inedible, but they look nice. We took a picture. I hope it turns out all right.

You've got grapes! Wow!

Can you somehow make them into wine even though they're inedible?

I have the vague impression that grapes need a certain sugar content to make wine with, and the British climate is mostly not conducive to sufficient sugar, hence the lack of significant viticulture in the Midlands despite the obvious fertility of Na'Lon's vines.
