Another Psyperiment
Hello readers,

My friend Berry is looking for another few participants, and writes:

"If you have 10-15 minutes to spare and would like to take part in a new questionnaire that we're developing we'd be very grateful. Do pass it on too to anyone you know who may help us out by doing it:

If you wouldn't mind sharing this link far and wide, too, that would surely be appreciated.

I did it, but that was 20 minutes of my life I won't get back ;-)

Maybe you're just too diligent.

I was sort of expecting the last question to be something like:

"You're asked to fill out an economics / psychology questionnaire for a friend of a friend. You haven't actually told anyone you'd do it and nobody would probably think the less of you if you didn't do it. After 70% of the questions, you come to the conclusion that many of the questions are very similar, and that to finish the questionnaire will take another ten minutes or so of not much fun. Do you continue to the end?"

No kidding. I will forward that bit of feedback (anonymously, of course) to Berry - if you don't mind.

I had a very similar feeling - I felt the mere fact of completing the thing said at least as much about the relative values I place on friendship/duty etc versus time/effort etc as any of my answers in the survey...
